YOUR Views on Censorship
Some of MsScarlet's favorite sayings
Censorship is more depraving and corrupting then anything
pornography could ever produce.
Free speech means the right to shout 'theatre' in a
crowded fire.
"Politically correct" is just another form of censorship.

I'm doing a report on censorship in the United States and while I was looking for information on the Communications Decency Act (what shit) I
stumbled upon your site. I'm in total support of what you are saying. Why the fuck should anyone be able to tell you what you can or can not
say? I think if I want to put up a website and tell everyone to go to hell, that should be my right. Anyway, keep up the fight. Say what's on your
mind and if they don't like it... well... FUCK THEM!!!

hey uh i just wanted to say i do not agree with censorship. I believe
that everyone has the right to see, do , say , anything they want. That
is what the united? states are supposedly all about. I feel that the
government should NOT take away these rights. And i really dont know
what the big fuss is with kids looking at porn because there gonna see
it all eventually. Anyways thats all i have to say -- Derrick Gordon

Censorship might be a problem, but the biggest problem it is not
what is censored but what has been not said.
For example...do you know how Clinton balanced the budget? Very
simple, just by selling weapons to foreign country, country
which later will have to fight because they posses weapons.
Another one, you really have to dig into the news to see how
southeast Asia is getting intentionally burned by the
governments to get more agricultural and farming area, not
realizing its long term consequences for the whole population of
the Earth.
The Ozone layer continues to be weaker month after
month and everybody tells you not to worry. Of course, you walk
on the street of northeastern US with just a shirt in the middle
of December and the Earth is not really warming up. It does not
matter, it is ok, your children will face it. What a present you
are going to give them! -- tommyrollins@altavista.net
11/8/99...Subject: niggers suck but black people are cool?
an offensive article for your webpage to test the limits of your
ideals......will you stand your ground....? Mwhahahahha!
umm.....
Who says Niggers are black?
and other insane thoughts....
Living in Mississippi, I try not to let all the stereotypes affect
you, I
have been exposed to racial tension in its many forms and I have
been a
victim of it myself. Niggers and rednecks have renewed thier
hatred
periodically by fighting or throwing racial slurs. The tension
seems to
be equal on both sides. Both sides having niggers/rednecks who
can't
seem to grasp the reality that we are all, if not human, equally
deserving of life/liberty/respect and intelligent blacks/whites
who have
learned to coexist with little to no problems at all. I have,
however,
noticed one recurring trend.
At my school, i am a senior,
saying
"nigger" is severely punished and you are likely to be beaten to
death
but saying the word "redneck" or "cracker" or "honkey" isn't
punished at
all. Why? What the fuck is the difference? You may be
thinking that i
am proposing that people who use derogetory slurs toward whites
should
be punished equally as those who direct them toward blacks. I'm
not. I
think that these are words and should not be punished at all.
People
who take offense at arbitrary words show a lack of higher
thinking.
Also those who use them to incite rage show an equal amount of
stupidity. This type of behavior is childish. It is
non-productive.
Sure we are all different but we can all think and reason and
that
should be a similarity that should link us together.
I
personally
believe that blacks and whites are not of the same species (i.e.
human)
but that we are both from different lines altogether. I believe
we
split a long long time ago on the evolutionary path and at that
point we
both ceased to be what we were and became something better and
different. Therefore the ideas of "same-ness" and assimilation
of the
races is total bullshit.
Our government tries to convince us
that we
are all the same...we obviously are not. Instead of trying to
assimilate us why not just acknowledge our differences and try
to get
along. So in the name of freedom i would like to say "May all
the
niggers and all the white trash of this fucked up world kill
each other
off so that all the various intelligent entities of this planet
might
have a chance to survive and coexist in peace and productive
happiness"
Thank you for listening to my rambling diatribe. if you print
it, in the
name of freedom, then email me and tell me. all nasty letters
can be
directed to your anal cavity. all opposing POV can be direct to
this
email address. this isn't worth printing is it?

While censorship of any kind is contrary to the First Ammendment and thus
essentially unconstitutional it's important to realize there will always be
children cruising around the Internet and it
is in their interests that we regulate ourselves to keep the profanity,

If you've been to the movies recently, you'll have noticed that the swearing can at times be alittle out of hand. Infact, whenever I hear it, a small tingle runs down my back. However it's not because I'm offended by it, it's because I'm afraid my parents will cover my ears or turn the movie off. When will people realize that movies desensitize the swear words. "Fuck" is now a part of our language. In maybe ten or twenty years it may well be a word used in television. If you don't believe me look at history. The word "Damn" wasn't used in major motion pictures until "Gone with the Wind ". The censors pitched a fit about it, a word so commonly used today it boggles the mind. Another example would be that people can say things like "crap", "bitch" and "bastard" on T.V. and have been for awhile now, but ten years ago the episode would have been yanked. --John

I just like to start off by saying right on! You're doing something really important. Controversy is good and the more people listen the better. As for those who say that we're the reason for this sudden censorship
scare, us with our loud ways and all. Well personally I find that the only way for the government to even notice you is to be loud. The internet is the best way to give the government a headache without going

3/25/96... Subject: pornography
I live in the U.K and we have some of the strictest censorship laws in the western world. I am sick & tired of being told what I can and cannot do. We are supposed to live in a Democracy but it is more like a Dictatorship. While I agree you must have some forms of censorship i.e child pornography, I feel sex between two consenting adults should be perfectly acceptable. Pornography is available in most of the EEC but in the U.K we are told this sort of stuff corrupts our children BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!
We have more Teenage Pregnancies than any other EEC country also more sex-related crime. I believe this is because of censorship. Why are we so ashamed of sex? Our chidren should be given adequate sex-education and then maybe there would not be as many teenage girls getting into trouble. Has Pornography affected the French, Germans, Dutch? I don't think so. --Graham
3/19/96... Subject: Censorship
The very idea of censorship is abhorrent to me. Women who were once fighting for their reproductive rights were censored because the language they had to use in order to discuss the reproductive processes were considered "offensive." We'd still be back in the dark ages if the censors always got their way.
Why can't people understand that what is offensive to some is not necessarily offensive to others? Why don't people understand that it needs to be up to the parents to decide what is best for their own
children. I never let my children have unlimited access to anything. Not the television and not the Internet.
Frankly, it isn't about children. It's about the right-wing, ultra fundamentalists who desire to control our lives. It's about narrow-minded Puritanism. It's about religious people who are simply terrified that somewhere in the world, people are having a good time. --Dawn

here's what I have to say now. I now participate politically. I realize that as an anarchist, I am being somewhat hypocritical by doing this. However, revolutions start with small acts. I urge all of you to sign petitions (or start them). Write your congresspersons. Write the government. Let them know how you feel. Make as big of a stink as the assholes who are trying to take away your rights. Then, when they
continue to take your rights away (and they will), actively protest through the Thoureauian process of Civil Disobediance. If you do not believe in a law, do not follow it. If enough people don't follow a law, what can any government do to stop them?
Remember, your rights are being revoked, bit by bit... will scream and complain on the internet but not actually do anything else active to stop this from occuring?

But I stress, Jan Andre's rights should not be violated anymore than anyone elses'. I'm glad you posted that. Some would censor it merely because they find it disgusting, yet you back yourself up by supporting your own position and posting even such sickening words. I suppose it's too much to hope for, but maybe one day the world will consist of people who can co-exist with each other. No more child-beaters/molesters. No more violence. Everyone will accept each other, despite their race/creed/sexuality/religion/drug use. In reality, as long as someone isn't hurting someone else, why should ANYONE care what they do? To quote Chris of Propagandhi, "Freedoms of thought and expression,
contrary to statist thought, are not rights or privleges to be granted or revoked. They are values inherent to being human. The misconception is a trait inherent to all nations and all statist political systems where humans are perceived as subjects of the crown, state or flag before they are perceived as individuals. They depend on our dependence. Don't be a pawn. Don't give it to them. Reject their values. Reject tradition. Burn their Flag. Fuck their system."
This applys to all forms of communication. The government has no right to play big brother and tell us what we can or cannot say, speak, or think. The proof that facism is at our doorsteps lies before us: the First Amendment has been violated. I urge you all to take active protest against this henious crime against the people of the world.

Webmaster's response to the above comment...
This is my page, so I can comment whenever I feel like it. I said no censorship, and despite the ignorance of the above comment, I meant it. If Jan Andre wants to admit to being a pedophile, so be it. This is a forum for free expression, no matter how crude and disgusting. Regulating speech on the 'net won't make people like Jan Andre go away. If anything, his absurd comment just reinforces my point. If indeed Jan Andre is engaging in child pornography, let him be arrested for that. But should a few spoil the internet for the masses? Of course not. I am tired of the damn government trying to take everything away that has anything to do with freedom. they constantly are attacking industries and hobbies that have to do with freedom. I am heavily into
classic cars, and because the cars are 20, 40, or 60 years old and supposedly "can't pass emissions," the government is secretly passing a bill that states all cars over 20 years old will be sent to the crusher because they are an environmental threat. They will have to rip my still -clenched hand off the steering wheel after im shot to take my '69 CHEVELLE from me.
And the tobacco industry is constantly being attacked by these so called health groups, and is almost banned by the government. I mean, isn't it a freedom of choice to smoke? And last but not least, porn and cussing on the net is just too bad. I mean, if some so-called good christian bitches about porn and finds it offensive, a simple click of the mouse or pulling the line out of the modem should solve the problem.
